Sicily is an island of many contrasts and cultures; anindependent region of just 5 million people (about the size of Massachusetts) and part of Italy for only 160 years.
With WEW travel coach, Sue Giallombardo Walker (she is 50% Sicilian!), this trip will feature many of the ethnic and cultural aspects of this island. From cities that reflect their unique history to ancient ruins of the Greeks & Romans and baroque hill towns, you’ll be transported across amazing landscapes, visit seaside villages, sample the surprising Sicilian cuisine and visit the majestic Mt. Activity Level: This trip will be moderately active. Team members will need to feel comfortable walking 2-4 miles in a day, but not all at once. We will have a free afternoon at both of our 3-day stays.
